"We have been keeping 'Balaraw' a secret for more than a year, so we're so excited to finally be able to share it with you and share it with the rest of the world," sey niya.
Sina Charlie at Agot naman ay parehong proud sa kalidad ng series.
"Basta we all worked so hard for this and the quality of the production is amazing. So we're so proud to show it to the whole world," wika ni Agot.
Hiit naman ni Charlie: "Actually, I'm so happy and grateful to be part of this project alongside these beautiful and talented actors and director, of course. It's my first time working with Direk Rae Red and I'm so grateful na it's showing worldwide."
Hindi lang basta horror-mystery, sinabi ni Direk Rae Red na ang inspirasyon ng "Balaraw" ay malalim sa Filipino folklore.
"I really feel like it's finally time to showcase Filipino folklore because we have 7,000 islands in the Philippines. Each region has its own version of creatures. So I'm so excited to show our version and how we interpreted it," sambit niya.
Sa gitna ng misteryo, sentro pa rin ng kwento ang relasyon ng isang anak na hinahanap ang kanyang ina.
"So when we were brainstorming what we want 'Balaraw' to be, apparently, you ended up digging into our own angst. And then part of that angst is that we never really know, we never really fully know our parents. By the time we know them, they're already parents. But who were they when they were younger? Who were they in the past? And that's kind of what Sabina's journey would be throughout this journey. Like getting to really know her mother. And I think having the mystery genre, kasi I grew up watching a lot of horror and suspense. And it just, I feel like it's the perfect genre for this search, for this longing of getting to know her mother," chika ng direktor ng pelikula.
At para sa cast, ang "Balaraw" ay hindi lang nakakatakot, kundi puno rin ng aral at Filipino values.
Sey ni Charlie, "I hope this series passes on our Filipino values, like family values as Filipinos, and bits of our Filipino culture, especially in screening worldwide."
Dagdag ni Agot, "Probably there's light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how difficult the path is, there's always that hope that we should hang on."
Para naman kay Janine, "Never give up on the people you love. Never give up on facing your fears. And I'm just also excited for Filipino horror to be at the forefront, because it's such an exciting genre."
