Ronnie Liang tampok sa MV ng AFP para sa West PH Sea: ‘Protect what we own!’

BUMANDERA sa bagong music video ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang singer at army reservist na si Ronnie Liang.

Ito ay para sa kantang "Kanluran," na naglalayong ipakita ang kahalagahan ng pangangalaga at pagprotekta sa likas na yaman ng bansa, partikular ang West Philippine Sea.

Sa temang "Our Seas, Our Rights, Our Future," mapapanood si Ronnie kasama ang iba pang uniformed personnal ng AFP.

"The song is timely since it discusses the need of protecting what we own. I feel that each of us in this country must do our share to safeguard and cherish our country," pahayag ng singer.

Dagdag pa niya, "We've been conditioned to remain silent about issues for a long time, but that is no longer the case. We must talk about important topics, such as the West Philippine Sea."

Ayon pa sa singer-reservist, mas lalo raw tumindi ang kanyang pagmamahal sa Pilipinas dahil sa mga larawang ginamit sa music video.

"The music video has a pleasant feel to it, with actual sites of our best places. It will make you appreciate how blessed we are to have so many resources and such friendly people," saad niya, na tumutukoy sa mga eksenang nagpapakita ng mga dalampasigan, talon, at iba pang magagandang tanawin sa bansa.

Patuloy niya, "As members of the army, while we are also protectors, we want to inspire Filipinos to unite despite their differences. Our differences as a people are valid, but we should strive to unite, whatever that means."

Bukod sa mundo ng showbiz, matagal nang nagsisilbi bilang reservist ng Philippine Army si Ronnie.

Para sa kanya, ang paglilingkod sa bayan ay hindi lamang titulo kundi isang mabigat na pananagutan.

"I always prioritize my fellow Filipinos over myself because it is my obligation. It's more than just a title; it's actual responsibility," sambit niya.

Aniya pa, "As a celebrity, we must use our platform to promote unity, at least in my situation. I hope this music video helps them realize the beauty in us and our land."

Unang nakilala si Ronnie matapos maging first runner-up sa reality talent competition na "Pinoy Dream Academy" noong 2006.

Mula rito ay naglabas siya ng ilang awitin, kabilang ang patok na ballad song na "Ngiti," bago tuluyang pasukin ang pag-arte.

Ilan sa mga teleseryeng kanyang pinagbidahan ay ang "Akusada," "Binibining Marikit," at "Pulang Araw," bukod pa sa iba pang proyekto sa telebisyon.
