Pinoy tourist namatay habang nasa ‘Frozen Ever After’ ride ng HK Disneyland

PATAY ang 53-anyos na Pinoy tourist matapos mawalan ng malay habang nakasakay sa isang ride sa Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Nangyari ang masaklap na insidente nitong nagdaang Biyernes, August 29, dakong alas-10 ng umaga, batay sa report ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Balitang bigla na lamang umano nawalan ng malay ang biktima habang nakasakay sa Frozen Ever After boat ride attraction. 

Ang Frozen Ever After ay bahagi ng World of Frozen land na nag-open noong 2023 kung saan tampok ang water-based at slow moving-ride.

Sa inisyal na pagsisiyasat, may pre-existing medical condition umano ang biktima — bukod sa pagkakaroon ng high-blood pressure ay may sakit din daw ito sa puso.

Agad din din daw rumesponde ang staff ng Hong Kong Disneyland at isinugod ang biktima sa ospital ngunit bandang 11:30 ng umaga ay binawian na nga ito ng buhay.

Kasabay nito, sinabi ng mga otoridad na walang kinalaman sa seguridad ng Hong Kong Disneyland ang pagkamatay ng biktima.

"The (Philippine) Consulate General (in Hong Kong), through its Assistance-to-Nationals Section, confirmed the incident with the Lantau Police headquarters and contacted the next of kin of the deceased to convey our heartfelt condolences and to assist them with the process of repatriating the deceased's remains.

"The Consulate General continues to coordinate with the local authorities and institutions concerned, while respecting the family's privacy during this difficult time," ang pahayag ng DFA.
