P-pop group na WRIVE may sariling tunog at style; dream collab si Sarah G

IN FAIRNESS, promising ang rising P-pop group na WRIVE na nabuo matapos ang kanilang journey bilang contestants sa survival show ng ABS-CBN na "Dream Maker."

Kamakailan, sa ginanap na Spotlight Press Conference sa Coffee Project, Wil Tower, Quezon City, ipinakilala sa ilang members ng entertainment ang all-male group.

Binubuo sila nina Russu, Asi, Ishiro, Drei at Mathew, na nagdala ng bonggang energy at nagpasaya sa naganap na mediacon.

Mula sa "Dream Maker", kanya-kanya nilang tinahak noon ang iisang pangarap – ang maging kilalang singer at performer. Ngayon, bilang WRIVE, sabay-sabay na nilang isinasakatuparan ang kanilang ultimate dream. 

"Lahat po kami dumaan sa rejection, iba-iba man 'yung naging simula namin, pare-pareho kaming hindi sumuko sa pangarap. 

"Pinili naming ituloy 'yung gusto talaga naming gawin, at yun ang maging isang idol at mag-perform sa stage," ani Asi tungkol sa journey ng kanilang grupo. 

Matapos ang dalawang taong training at preparasyon, unti-unti nang nakakabuo ng pangalan sa P-pop scene ang WRIVE. 

Una nilang ipinakita ang kanilang talento sa pre-debut single na "Hollywood" sa New Gen Champs Concert noong 2024, na sinundan ng soundtrack release na "Color Clash" na naging theme song ng game show ni Luis Manzano na "Rainbow Rumble."

Opisyal na nag-debut ang grupo ngayong 2025 sa kanilang digital single album na binubuo ng "Ooh La La" at "Señorita." 

Ang lead track na "Ooh La La" ay naglalarawan at nagpapakita ng kanilang unique sound at performance style. 

Kamakailan lang, mas pinasaya pa ng WRIVE ang fans sa paglabas ng "Ooh La La" performance video sa official YouTube channel ng ABS-CBN Star Music.

Proud ang WRIVE sa kanilang sariling tunog at style. Sabi nga ni Russu, "Sa music po namin, very Pinoy, hip-hop, swag, and sexy, pinaghalo po namin siya. Sa looks naman, may angas and very streetwear,"  

Ibinahagi rin nila na mayroon silang plano na mag-release ng kanilang unang full album sa pagtatapos ng 2025. "'Yang 'Ooh La La' at 'Señorita' ay patikim pa lang," sabi ng grupo. 

Dagdag ni Russu, habang binibigay ng konting pasilip ang future plans nila: "Dadalhin namin kayo sa iba't ibang destinasyon. Excited na rin po kaming iparinig yung mga gawa namin." 

Bagama't bago pa lamang ang WRIVE, buo na ang kanilang determinasyon na maghatid ng panibagong sigla sa P-pop scene. Nagsisimula pa lamang silang magsulat ng kanilang kwento at tiyak na mas marami pang musika, performances, at achievements ang darating. 

Siyanga pala, dream din ng grupo na maka-collaborate one day ang isa sa mga idol nila sa music industry, yan ay walang iba kundi ang Popstar Royalty na si Sarah Geronimo.
