Manuel Bonoan nagbitiw na bilang DPWH chief, pinalitan ni Vince Dizon

OPISYAL nang nag-resign si Secretary Manuel Bonoan bilang kalihim ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) epektibo sa Lunes, September 1.

Kinumpirma 'yan mismo ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) ngayong araw, August 31.

Ayon kay PCO Secretary Dave Gomez, agad itinalaga ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos si Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon bilang bagong DPWH chief.

"To lead the DPWH through this critical transition, the President has appointed Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon as the new Secretary of DPWH," pahayag ni Gomez sa ulat ng INQUIRER.

Nabanggit din ng PCO secretary na mabigat ang misyon ni Dizon dahil, "[He] has been tasked to conduct a full organizational sweep of the department and ensure that public funds are used solely for infrastructure that truly protects and benefits the Filipino people."

Para naman hindi maantala ang serbisyo sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), si Atty. Giovanni Z. Lopez muna ang tatayong acting secretary.

Sa ngayon, iniintriga pa rin ang DPWH dahil sa mga reklamong bumabalot dito, lalo na't mainit ang imbestigasyon ng gobyerno sa umano'y mga anomalya sa flood control projects.
