Angelu, Bobby, Rica sanib-pwersa sa ‘Paskong Pinoy’; Barbie, Enchong magkatambal

MUKHANG magiging kumpleto ang ating pagdiriwang ng Pasko this year!

Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, mapapanood sa Netflix ang isang first-of-its-kind na Pinoy Christmas series na pinamagatang "Paskong Pinoy."

Ang serye ay nagtatampok ng apat na kwento tungkol sa pagmamahal, pagkakaibigan, pamilya, at pagbibigayan, lahat swak sa damdamin ng bawat Pinoy tuwing Pasko.

Ibinandera mismo ang serye sa first ever Next on Netflix Philippines na dinaluhan ng BANDERA kamakailan lang.

Isa sa pinakaaabangan ay ang muling pagsasama ng 90s cast na sina Angelu De Leon, Bobby Andrews, Rica Peralejo, pati na rin sina Michael Flores, Bernadette Allyson, Shaira Diaz, at Polo Ravales.

Hindi biro ang reunion na ito dahil matagal na silang hindi nagsasama sa isang proyekto.

Sa kanilang special episode na "Last New Year in Boracay," makikita natin ang kwento ng grupo ng magkaibigan na muling nagtagpo sa kanilang 30s, nagkwentuhan, at muling nagbalik-tanaw sa kanilang kabataan.

Para kay Rica, na matagal nang wala sa TV at pelikula, ito ang pinaka-perfect na proyekto para sa kanyang comeback.

Hindi lang ito tungkol sa trabaho, kundi sa muling pagkikita ng mga kaibigan at sa oportunidad na maging bahagi ng Netflix original.

"When the director told me that he had the plan of doing this with Netflix, I said, of course, you know, I would like to do it because I would be reunited with people I've known for like all my life. I knew them when I was just like 14 years old," chika niya.

Sey pa ni Rica, "But yes, that's a very big part of why I said yes. And also, just to be part of Netflix, you can just imagine how my voice screamed when I said, you know, mama is going to be on the Netflix original."

Si Angelu De Leon naman ay nagkwento kung paano naging magical ang kanilang reunion at kung paano nila naranasan ang nostalgia sa set.

"When Direct Mark pitched this show to us, there was no story yet. It was just the cast. And everybody just said yes to it immediately, not knowing what to happen. But when we got the script, when we got direk to pitch and when we got to do the story reading, it was just really magical. And then when we shot all our sequences with everyone, it was just pure magic," kwento ng batikang aktres.

Dagdag pa niya, "It was just the nostalgia of us being together again for how many years apart and then reminiscing the old times."

Para kay Bobby Andrews, ang proyekto ay espesyal hindi lang dahil sa reunion kundi dahil sa oportunidad na makatrabaho ang cast at ang Netflix platform mismo.

"So this is my first time working with Netflix and it was such a wonderful experience. And I just like to invite all of you, 'yung episode namin 'Last New Year in Boracay.' It's about a group of friends who grew up and middle-aged together around the 30s and watch out for that," saad niya.

Bukod sa nostalgia ng 90s reunion, may bago ring love team na first-time partners na sina Barbie Forteza at Enchong Dee sa episode nilang "A Perfect Christmas."

Sa kanilang kwento, makikita ang tunay na Pinoy Christmas vibes na talagang masaya, busy, at puno ng pagmamahal.

"Our episode, 'Perfect Christmas,' we will go through the lives of the employees, the ones working during the holidays, may tumatango! We have to really push the sales. And so, I don't know, maybe the bosses tend to forget that we're humans too, you know? We need to celebrate with our families. But then, behind all that, my character would kind of find someone unexpected but very exciting to be with, which is Enchong Dee. This is our first time working together, actually," proud na pagbubunyag ni Barbie.

Hirit naman ni Enchong, "Our episode is rotating around, let's open our hearts for possibilities and opening our hearts to, you know, making amends to those people that we thought we would have rifts with, but also at the same time, opening our hearts to a possible life together."

Nabanggit din ni Direk Mark kung bakit ang anthology format ang pinaka-akmang paraan para ipakita ang dami at kulay ng Pinoy Christmas.

"It's a kaleidoscope of stories that's very Pinoy. You know, local for local that will tell the story, and hopefully it becomes a habit that every Christmas they go back to the stories that we tell and watch it again as a family," aniya.

Ang anthology series na "Paskong Pinoy" ay ipapalabas sa December 3, only on Netflix.
