NAGLABAS na ng pahayag ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) patungkol sa pagkamatay ng isa sa kanilang engineers mula sa Sorsogonz

Nitong Huwebes, November 13, kinumpirma ng ahensya ang pagpanaw ng naturang opisyal kasunod ang naunang paglabas sa umano'y "news blackout" ayon sa post ni Atty. Jesus Falcis.

"The entire Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) family is mourning the passing of our colleague, Engr. Larry Reyes," saad sa pahayag ng DPWH.

May pakiusap din ang pamilya ng opisyal na namatay hinggil sa kumakalat sa social sa umano'y dahilan ng pagpanaw nito.

"While there is much speculation and unverified reports on social media regarding his circumstances, Engr. Reyes' family has requested the public and media for privacy and necessary space to grieve his deep loss away from public scrutiny, especially during this difficult time," sabi pa ng DPWH.

Anila "private and personal matter" ang naging dahilan at wala raw itong koneksyon sa kahit na anong isyung kinakaharap ng kagawaran.

Matatandaang may mga kumakalat na mga espekulasyong kinitil ng opisyal ang sariling buhay bunsod umano ng pressure sa imbestigasyon sa flood control projects.
