NAGPAKASAL na si Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2019 Samantha Lo sa longtime partner niyang si Jannica Rubin.
Nangyari ang naturang same-sex wedding sa Brooklyn, New York, nitong nagdaang November 20 na ikinatuwa ng mga tagasuporta ng magdyowa.
Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Instagram, nagbahagi si Jannica ng madamdaming mensahe para kay Samantha.
"You are the love of my life, and now I finally get to call you my wife. Thank you for choosing me through every mistake I've made, every challenge that tested us, and every moment of doubt life threw our way.
"Thank you for growing with me, not just in the easy seasons but in the messy, exhausting, imperfect ones too.
"Your patience hasn't just held us together—it's shaped me. Your trust hasn't just supported me—it's taught me how to love better, listen better, and show up better," pahayag ni Jannica.
Talaga raw ipinaglaban nila ang kanilang nine years na relasyon, "For over 9 years, I've tested your strength, your heart, and your ability to keep believing in 'us,' and yet you've never stopped fighting for this love.
"You chose me even when it wasn't convenient, even when it wasn't simple, and that's something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.
"Here's to the life we get to build hand in hand. Here's to the days that will challenge us, the days that will feel effortless, and every ordinary moment in between.
"Here's to a lifetime of happiness, to choosing each other over and over again, and to growing old with the person who has always been my best friend, my safe place, and my greatest joy," ang buong wedding message ni Jannica para sa kanyang asawa.
Nag-comment naman dito si Samantha, "Here's to whatever is past forever baby love, whatever that time frame is called, that's what I want to spend with you."
Nagsimula ang relasyon nina Samantha at Jannicanl noong 2016. Inalala ng beauty queen ang una nilang jeepney ride at ang pagkikita nila sa isang mall.
Post ni Samantha, "I know many of you are very excited for the launch of La Cucharita. Funny story, I accidentally deleted the file this morning.
"So while I fix that disaster, I'll leave you with this pic to feed your kilig sensations today. Throwback to 2016, Jan took me on my first jeepney ride.
"We went to the mall, and on the way back home, we shared a Chatime original pearl milktea with 100% sugar added.
"One boba, one straw, my heart screaming, 'WE'RE SHARING BOBA!!!' My brain screaming, 'SHE'S SO WORTH GETTING DIABETES FOR.'
"And that's the story of our first Jeepney ride," pagbabalik-tanaw pa ni Samantha.
Sa comments section naman ng kanyang post, mababasa ang, "Full story: we were texting at that time and Jan promised me she would show me how to take public transit because I was very curious.
"So we set a date and time. I met her (her hair was suuuuper long at that time I remember as we dodged cars crossing the street it just waved like a blanket behind her), and we got on the jeep that took us to Ayala mall.
"I was the biggest person on that ride. I was so amazed by the experience and we were smiling at each other the whole time. We walked around the mall.
"She got chatime and I never had chatime before. I just knew it had too much sugar so I would never indulge in it.
"When we got on the jeep going back I was being tsansing and asked to try some and my heart was exploding that I was sharing a drink with her. I didn't want the ride to end. The longer we got stuck in traffic the happier I was. The end. Lol."
