12 luxury cars ng pamilya ni Sarah Discaya nakumpiska na ng Customs
KUMPISKADO na ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang 12 luxury cars na pag-aari ng pamilya ni Sarah Discaya, Martes ng gabi, September 2.
Sa isinagawang search operation ng mga operatiba ng BOC sa St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor and Development Corp. sa Pasig City, nakita na ang 10 pang mamahaling sasakyan nina Discaya.
Sa unang pagsisiyasat ng naturang ahensiya sa building pamilya Discaya ay dalawa lang sa 12 luxury cars na kabilang sa inihaing search warrant ang natagpuan.
"May nakita kaming dalawang units right now. 'Yung Land Cruiser at Maserati Levante 'Yung iba, hindi namin nahanap. Wala po kaming makita rito," ang pahayag ni BOC Chief of Staff Atty. Jek Casipit sa isang panayam.
Ayon pa kay Casipit, ang nasabing 12 luxury cars na kanilang hinahanap ay wala raw record sa BOC kaya nila ito iniimbestigahan.
Pero makalipas ang ilang oras, ibinalita nga ng ahensya na nakumpiska na nila ang 10 pang luxury cars na kanilang hinahanap.
Sinabi naman ni Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, pito sa mga nakumpiskang sasakyan ay kasalukuyan pa ring nasa compound ng St. Gerrard Construction.
Kabilang dito ang Rolls Royce Cullinan 2023, Bentley Bentayga, Mercedes Benz G-Class (Brabus G-Wagon), Mercedes AMG G 63 SUV 2022, Toyota Tundra 2022, Toyota Sequoia, at Cadillac Escalade ESV 2021.
Ang tatlo pang sasakyan ng mga Discaya na Mercedes Benz G 500 SUV 2019, GMC Yukon Denali SUV 2022 (Gas), at Lincoln Navigator L 2024 ay nakatakda nang isuko sa BoC.
Sinelyuhan na rin ng mga operatiba ng Customs ang mga luxury cars at patuloy na babantayan ng kanilang mga operatiba kasama ang mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
"With all 12 luxury vehicles now accounted for, the BOC continues to verify their importation records to determine compliance with customs laws.
