Dawn Zulueta hindi pa retired sa showbiz, gustong tumodo sa pagkokontrabida
NAG-EXPLAIN ang award-winning actress na si Dawn Zulueta kung bakit nagdesisyon siyang iwan muna ang mundo ng showbiz.
Unang-unang dahilan daw ng kanyang pamamahinga ay dahil sa working conditions sa taping at shooting ng mga teleserye at pelikula.
“I got tired with the way we were working, the usual, the late hours and all of these things. I decided muna, I take a rest from it,” ang pag-amin ni Dawn sa interview ng PeopleAsia.
Bukod dito, mas pinili muna niyang i-priority ang kanyang pamilya, partikular na ang kanyang mga anak.
“My son (Jacobo) was still here (sa Pilipinas), we were preparing for him, his senior year, choosing a college he was gonna go to.
“So I just wanted to focus in my boy and Ayisha (anak niyang babae) who was still in middle school. And that’s when I decided I think I should spend already as much time as I can with the kids.
“Because I realized I only had that little window in their teenage life that I could really be present for them,” paliwanang ng seasoned actress.
Nilinaw din niya na hindi pa niya nilalayasan ang showbiz kahit ilang taon na siyang wala sa limelight, “I’m not retired. I’m just stepping back. I do miss it.
“I miss the creativity and the collaborative work, but I don’t miss the (working) conditions we have,” saad ng aktres.
Sa tanong kung anu-anong mga role ang nais niyang gampanan kapag nagbalik na siya sa pag-arte, “I haven’t done too many villain, kontrabida would be something exciting to do.
“But I would really like an offer wherein I am also playing a part in the creative work,” chika ni Dawn.
Nagbigay din siya ng advice sa mga baguhang artista ngayon na nagsisimula nang gumawa ng pangalan sa entertainment industry.
“My advice for them is I know what it’s like to be immersed in so much work. I understand how tired you are, and schedules just keep piling up and piling up.
“But you really, really need to make that time for yourself. Take a break; you need to do that,” sey ni Dawn.
