DSWD sa mga residente malapit sa Mayon: Lumikas kung kinakailangan

MAGING alerto at agad na lumikas kapag may utos ang mga awtoridad.

Ito ang panawagan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa mga nakatira malapit sa Bulkang Mayon.

Kamakailan lang, itinaas ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) sa Alert Level 3 ang Mayon dahil sa pagtaas ng aktibidad ng bulkan.

"The DSWD is ready and continues to provide immediate assistance to those affected by Mayon Volcano's unrest. However, we urge everyone to remain alert and prioritize the safety of their families," sey ng DSWD sa isang pahayag na iniulat ng INQUIRER.

Dagdag pa, "If there is a directive to evacuate, immediately coordinate with your LGU and authorities."

"Prepare essential items and prioritize everyone's safety, especially children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities," giit pa.

Ayon sa ahensya, nagbigay na sila ng malinis na tubig at mainit na pagkain sa mga lumikas sa Albay.

Umapela rin ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa mga lokal na pamahalaan na ilikas ang mga residente mula sa anim na kilometrong permanent danger zone sa paligid ng Mayon.

"To ensure a swift response to the needs of families displaced by the heightened alert level at Mayon Volcano, the DSWD Field Office 5 – Bicol Region immediately deployed its mobile assets to various evacuation centers," saad ng DSWD.

Anila, "The DSWD's Mobile Water Station and Mobile Kitchen are already on standby at the Buang Evacuation Center in Tabaco City. Other mobile assets from the DSWD's partner, the World Food Programme, have also been deployed to the San Jose Evacuation Center in Malilipot."
