Arjo Atayde pumalag sa akusasyon ng mag-asawang Discaya, nagbabala!

NAGBANTA si Quezon City First District Rep. Arjo Atayde na pananagutin niya sa batas ang mga taong nagpapakalat ng malilisyosong impormasyon laban sa kanya.

Isa si Cong. Arjo sa mga nabanggit ng mag-asawang Sarah at Curlee Discaya sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno na umano'y nanghingi ng pera kapalit ng pagkapanalo sa mga proyekto ng gobyerno.

Sa ikatlong pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon committee kaugnay ng umano'y maanomalyang flood control projects sa bansa ngayong araw, September 8, isa-isang pinangalanan ni Discaya ang mga sinasabing nakinabang sa mga government projects.

Kasunod nito, isa-isang itinanggi ng mga opisyal ng pamahalaan ang paratang ng mag-asawang Discaya kabilang na nga si Arjo Atayde na naglabas ng kanyang pahayag sa pamamagitan ng social media.

Babala ni Cong. Arjo, "I will avail of all remedies under the law to clear my name and hold accountable those who spread these falsehoods."

Mariin niyang dinenay ang akusasyon nina Curlee at Sarah Discaya, "I categorically deny the allegation that I benefited from any contractor. I have never dealt with them.

"Hindi po totoo ang mga akusasyon na ito. I have never used my position for personal gain, and I never will," aniya pa.

Paliwanag naman ni Discaya sa kanyang rebelasyon, "We had no choice because if we didn't cooperate, they would create problems for the project awarded to us through mutual termination or right-of-way issues, both of which would prevent the project from being implemented.

"After we won the bidding, some DPWH officials approached us to ask for and take their share of the project amount."

Dagdag pa niya, "The percentage they demanded ranged from no less than 10% and went up to 25%, which became a condition to ensure the contract's implementation would not be hindered."
