Rica Peralejo tagumpay sa unang 42K marathon sa Tokyo: Kaya n’yo rin!

BAGO pa man niya maabot ang edad 45, ipinakita ni Rica Peralejo ang kanyang tapang at determinasyon nang tapusin ang Tokyo Marathon sa Japan.

Very proud siya dahil ito ang kauna-unahan niyang full marathon na may mahigit 42 kilometers!

Sa serye ng Instagram posts, ibinandera ni Rica ang kanyang karanasan at mga natutunan sa matinding takbuhan. 

"I now understand why marathons are humbling. The distance is so long that so many things can happen along the way," sey ni Rica.

Dagdag pa niya, "I can do all I can but once the race begins I am at the mercy of the uncontrollable. And I have to keep doing my best even in the event that things don't go my way."

Aminado ang aktres na isang pribilehiyo ang makatakbo ng marathon at labis siyang nagpapasalamat sa pagkakataong ito. 

"To all of you who dream of running one, if nakaya ko, kaya niyo," aniya.

Hindi lang 'yan, nagdiwang din si Rica ng kanyang kaarawan sa pamamagitan ng ginawa niyang documentation nang sumabak sa 42-kilometer run at may 3-kilometer run pa sa parehong linggo. 

"45 kilometers a week before I turned 45!" wika niya, na may kasamang Bible verses sa caption.

Bukod sa kanyang athletic feat, abala rin si Rica ngayong Women's Month. 

Siya ay magho-host ng summit sa March 28, na pinangungunahan ng women-led business community na Leading Ladies, na kanyang itinatag kasama sina Cat Ilacad at Rache Stern.

Sa darating din na Disyembre, mapapanood na ang pinagbibidahan ni Rica na Netflix anthology series na "Paskong Pinoy," kasama sina Angelu De Leon at Bobby Andrews.
